Rabbitfish are perciform fish in the family Siganidae. They are found in shallow lagoons in the Indo-Pacific and eastern Mediterranean. Rabbitfish have small mouths, large dark eyes and a peaceful temperament. They are colorful, but have venomous dorsal and anal fin spines. The pelvic fins are formed from two spines.
