Anthias

The anthias is a subfamily in the grouper family. They are found in all tropical oceans and seas of the world. A length of 2 to 4 inches is average. Anthias are often recognized for their bright colors, elongated bodies and large mouths. Male anthias are usually larger and more colorful than females.
