There are a number of different hygro species common in the hobby, because all of them are excellent aquarium plants. They are available in a range of size and shape of the leaf, and colors range from different shades of green and brown to shades of red and pink. All of the species have pretty much the same requirements, in that they will all grow well in a wide range of water and light conditions. The most common forms of hygro are:
