Galaxea Coral (Aquacultured A&M) Also known as Tooth or Starburst Coral. Galaxea is a fast growing and brilliant green color coral. This coral is extremely tolerant of a wide range of tank conditions which make it a great beginner stony coral. As this species is aggressive and strong stinging, adequate space should be given between itself and its tankmates. The name Galaxea is derived from the Greek word galaxaios meaning milky, which adequately describes the tips of its polyps. Photosynthetic but should be fed additional foods such as mysis or brine shrimp, and other micro-planktons. Benefits from supplemental additives such as trace elements, strontium and calcium.
