"Blue Spotted Grouper - Small (2""-3"" Length)"

Blue Spotted Grouper The Blue Spotted Grouper is a slow swimming larger fish. Due to its large size, it will more than likely consume smaller tank mates and small crustaceans. Also known as a Peacock Grouper, Roi (Hawaii), Argus Grouper, Peacock Rock Cod, Tekilo (Fiji), Mérou céleste (Tahiti), Lapu Lapu (Philippines), or Pou-klipkabeljou (South Africa -Afrikaans). In nature, this fish is a predator and will eat any fish small enough to fit in its mouth. However, the Blue Spotted Grouper will adapt easily to prepared meaty foods in captivity. This grouper is a solitary predator and tends to hang around rocks and caves waiting for prey. Although this fish has been known to grow up to 24 inches in length, in captivity the more common length would be closer to 18 inches.
