"Black Phantom Tetra (.75""-1.25"" Length)"

Black Phantom Tetra This fish is a splendid addition to a community fish tank. Drifting along with a combination of a stone gray/ translucent black body, this schooling tetra requires many hiding places to encourage comfort. Subdued lighting will help the Black Phantom Tetra to be more active and visible. This species is also known to change color from its silver, black, and red to almost completely black. The color change can happen anytime of the day, but normally happens at night. Kept in a school of 5 or more fish, the Black Phantom Tetra will retain its full coloration. However, a solo tetra will most likely lose all of its color. By utilizing tall plants, and driftwood, this mid-level swimmer will be much more visible to observers as the fish will be less inclined to be skittish.
