Auriga Butterfly Also known as a Cross Stripe Butterfly, Paru-parang dagat (Philippines), Kikakapu (Hawaii), Kaha mandai (Indonesia), I'usamasama (Samoa), or Paraharaha (Tahiti). The Auriga Butterfly is a white and yellow fish with a black mask, and an eye spot towards the rear of its dorsal fin. The eye spot is used to distract and confuse would be predators. As with any Butterflyfish, this species may refuse to eat if picked on or bullied. Therefore, this beautiful and hardy species does best with peaceful tank mates. Use caution in reef tanks as this fish will eat invertebrates.
