"Assorted Female Fancy Guppies - Large (1.25""-1.75"" Length)"
Assorted Female Fancy Guppies Also known as Guppie or Miljoenvis (South Africa), Wilder Riesenguppy or Millionenfisch (Germany), Poisson million (French Polynesia), Gupik pawie (Poland), Sarapintado (Brazil), Bunting or Sibolon perut (Indonesia), or Millions Fish. Guppies are a classic aquarium fish. Females are larger in size than the males, have a rounder anal fin and are not as brightly colored as the males. They have been bred for a variety of colors, patterns and fin shapes and are generally named for the color of their tail, tail shape, and body coloration. Somewhat of a schooling fish, it does best when housed in groups of five or more of the same species. Does best in a planted community tank with no fin nippers. Guppies tend to breed on their own in captivity with ease. Female Guppies mature around three months of age, and on average have a gestation of 28 days. The Female Guppy drops anywhere between 2 and 200 fry with the average being around 45. Ideally more female guppies should be in a tank than male guppies to prevent harassment.
