Coral Reef Expert to Speak at Montana's Sheridan Public Library

Marine biologist Curtis Kruer, who spent more than 40 years working in the coastal zone in the state of Florida, will speak at the Sheridan Public Library in Sheridan, MT March 10 at 5:30 p.m. Kruer will discuss the impact that climate change and human-caused events have on coral reefs around the world. He will put a special emphasis on reefs in Florida and the Caribbean.

Kruer, who was born and raised in Florida, has spent the last 22 years in the Florida Keys before he relocated to Montana. He is the author of various papers and reports discussing the ecology of the Florida Keys. He has made more than 2,000 dives during his professional career, which encompassed jobs as diverse as commercial diving and fishing, to mangrove habitat restoration.
