EcoTech Marine Announces Radion XR30w G2 LED Lighting System

Radion XR30w G2 offers an increased PAR rating and improved efficiency

The EcoTech Radion XR30w G2 LED lighting system will ship at the end of November 2012.

EcoTech Marine has announced the Radion XR30w G2, the company's next generation LED reef aquarium lighting system that features new TIR lenses and Cree XT-E LEDs for an increased PAR rating and improved efficiency. According to the company, the Radion XR30w G2 sports 32 LEDs representing five colors and five channels. It offers seamless integration with the company's EcoSmart Live web-based controller and offers backward compatibility with the company's entire Radion line of lighting systems.

The XR30w G2 offers a 57 percent higher peak PAR and 47 percent higher average PAR that the original Radion, the company said. Other features include a modular LED cluster, lens and driver assemblies, capacitive touch exterior controls, a switching power supply, multi-light wireless functionality, real-time clock, multiple light period programmable capabilities, a water resistant cooling fan, minimal color banding, all in a fully upgradeable form factor.
