Larger Pike Cichlids

Part two of this two-part series looks at the natural history and care requirements for giant pike cichlid species.

Unlike the smaller species, the large pike cichlids cannot be recommended as aquarium fishes for most, but for those with the proper setup and expertise they can be kept. Their requirements for large tanks make them too demanding for the majority of aquarists or at least for the tank sizes most keep.
