The pages of Freshwater And Marine Aquarium sometimes present material that focuses on the breeding and rearing of many different aquatic species. For many hobbyists, it is the challenge and enjoyment of successfully breeding their favorite fishes that keeps the hobby alive and exciting. For others, the restful pleasure of watching the behavior of their favorite fishes is what’s enjoyable about the hobby. After all, a glimpse into the underwater world is quietly exciting. I think the unique behavior of the various groups of fishes we keep is especially interesting to most hobbyists.
