If you keep these brittle stars, remember that all should be kept in systems of at least 40 gallons.

  • Ophiarachna incrassata, the green brittle star
  • fish-eating Ophiocoma spp., spiny black brittle stars
  • Ophioderma spp., short-spined brittle stars
  • Ophiolepis spp., serpent stars
  • Ophiactis spp., spiny brittle stars
  • Ophiothrix spp., needle-spined brittle stars
