One of the jewels of the freshwater fishkeeping hobby, the threadfin rainbowfish (Iriatherina werneri) is a small schooling fish ideally suited to peaceful community tanks. Although not brilliantly colored, males have spectacular fins, and the lively behavior of both sexes ensures that they always catch the eye. Best of all, like most rainbowfishes, threadfins are easy to keep.
