We’ve all been there. Our fish lay eggs — either by chance or after hard work conditioning them and providing optimal conditions — and then the eggs don’t hatch. This is frustrating (often even for the unintentional breeder), but the reasons for the problem may not be obvious. With a little detective work, however, it is usually possible to narrow down the likely cause. Many possible reasons can be ruled out completely.
