Many hobbyists have special tips, tricks or just fun information that they can share with other hobbyists. Well, here’s your chance to get your advice and opinions published! In our annual magazine, Aquarium USA, we’re going to have an article filled with helpful comments from one aquarist to another. The topics you can expound on are both useful and fun — and it’s easy to send in your words of wisdom. Find these questions and how to send in your answers to these topics by clicking here.

Aquarium USA also has aquarium society and club listings — they’re free, and all you need to include is some contact information. If your society is not yet listed, please e-mail us your society's name, city and state, along with at least two of the following: mailing address, phone number, e-mail, website. Send entries to Aquarium USA, "Society Listings," P.O. Box 6050, Mission Viejo, CA 92690 or e-mail us at In the subject line, please write "Society Listings." To get into this year’s issue, make sure to send in your information by February 15, 2010.

Also, we wanted to bring your attention this month to something that affects all fishkeepers at one point or another: ich. Two bacteria have been found in the ich parasite, and scientists are now going to try and find out if removing the bacteria will affect the parasite. This finding could potentially lead to a better cure for the disease.

And last, if you’re looking for your favorite column in the magazine this month and can’t find it, don’t worry — we didn’t get rid of anything. We did move a few columns, however. “FishKidz” can now be found further back in the magazine, and “Reef Aquarist” and “Adventures in Fish Breeding” are further forward.
