If you are a newcomer to the fishkeeping hobby, you may think that fish clubs (often referred to as aquarium societies) are only for expert fish enthusiasts. Even some experienced hobbyists can be intimidated by the idea of joining a group of fish gurus. However, the best reason to attend a meeting or two — and then join — is because you will meet aquarists who share your love of the hobby.
