There are not many fish shows on the west coast, but on October 11 and 12, 2008, reef hobbyists were able to gather in southern California for this year’s Reefapalooza. The event was held at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa — and it had a great turnout. The aisles were full of people wandering around to take in all the reef products and animals (mostly coral frags). Frags were in fact very plentiful at this year’s show — a great sight for coral enthusiasts!
A lot of work goes into setup. People at booths busily put everything together on Friday — and the crowds that showed up made all the work well worth it. Pictured to the right, you can see the progress from empty booths at the beginnings of setup stages to the busy days of the show when reefkeepers arrived at the fairgrounds for the event. Of course, we had a booth there, where free magazines were available.
Speaking of magazines, do you recall an article in a past issue about a certain topic, and you can’t remember what issue it was in? You are in luck! We would like to point out the article index for 2008 (appearing in this issue), which is a comprehensive listing of all the articles we ran in the last year. We invite you to use it as a resource for looking up the past year’s topics that may aid you in problems or questions about specific subjects on aquarium keeping. This will be handy if you subscribe and have access to these issues — or perhaps you’re part of an aquarium club that keeps a library. Some back issues can also be purchased on our shopping website; go to ShopAnimalNetwork.com and follow the links on the left side leading to the back issues section of “Fish Magazines.” We hope you will find the index helpful.
