In late 2007, the CNN news network aired a series of specials entitled “Planet in Peril.” This compelling documentary talked about how humankind is negatively impacting the earth. One segment dealt with endangered animal species that are kept as pets and/or are exploited in Asian countries as traditional remedies for various ailments.
