Bubblenest: (n.) Some tropical fish, including bettas (Betta splendens), create bubblenests at the aquarium's water surface by blowing bubbles with their mouths. These fish place the female’s eggs in the nest to keep them safe. Fish that do create bubblenests are known as “bubblenesters.”
