Bill Allen lives in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he is a retired schoolteacher and guitar instructor. He has a fish room containing about 50 tanks, mostly filled with livebearers. He is the editor of Livebearers, which is the journal of the American Livebearer Association. He wrote livebearer articles for Freshwater and Marine Aquarium when it was being published and continues to write articles for Aquarium Fish International.
