The FishChannel “Beauty Below the Surface” Photo Contest

Enter our photo contest and show off your aquarium or pond to other fishkeepers.

Do you have a beautiful freshwater aquarium filled with lush foliage and/or beautiful, healthy fish? Is your reef tank the prettiest in the state? Do you have a pond filled with stunning koi, or maybe a particularly attractive betta bowl?

“Beauty Below the Surface” is FishChannel’s monthly photo contest, and we want to see your setups, no matter what type they are. Contest entrants can post their photos, and people will vote for the ones they like best. Then, the top vote-getters will be entered into a raffle to decide that month's winner. The raffle winner will receive 1,000 Fish eClub points to be used toward great Fish eClub Rewards!

As everyone knows, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some people may find a simple freshwater community tank every bit as pleasing as a stunning reef aquarium, or a nice goldfish setup as rewarding as the most difficult-to-keep saltwater tank. Anybody with an aquarium or pond can enter the contest, so long as the setup is aquatic in nature and features either fish, invertebrates or live aquatic plants, or any combination of the three.

Entering and Voting

Entering is easy. Click on the “Enter” link to submit images of your setup and let us know what’s in it, and why you think it’s beautiful.

Look at submissions by clicking on the “See Entries” link. Vote for your favorite setups – even if they’re your own. You can vote once a day, so check back often to see new entries or boost your favorite’s rating. Only one vote per IP address will be counted per day, so if you vote for yourself a zillion times a day from the same address, only one vote will be counted.

Once a month, the setups with the most votes will be entered into a raffle, and one winner will receive 1,000 Fish eClub points to be used toward great Fish eClub Rewards!

Each month’s winner will be announced on FishChannel.com during the first week of the following month (for example, the May contest winner will be announced sometime during the first week of June). Don’t forget to check back to see if you won! Click here to see the previous winners >>

Contest has been cancelled.
