eQuarium Instructions:
Welcome to the original FishChannel.com eQuarium, where you can create your own virtual fish tank and care for it online! The instructions below will show you how, but be wary that tank conditions will affect your fish, and your fish may also affect your tank conditions. If you overfeed your fish, you run the risk of poor water quality, and the more fish you have, the faster your water will get dirty. In other words, be sure to do frequent water changes or your fish will pay the price!
Features:
- Click on the open/close button to open up the object tray. Then you can click on a fish or object to place it in your eQuarium. You can choose different categories to see different types of objects.
- Once you've added an object, you can click and drag it to move it within your eQuarium. To remove an object, move it beyond the edges of the tank. You will notice that the object becomes slightly transparent before disappearing.
- Click on the fish food container to feed your fish. You may have to feed more often to maintain health, depending on how many fish you have.
- This is your Water Quality meter. As time passes, the arrow will edge toward the bad side. Ignore this for too long and the health of your fish may decline, and they may get sick or even die. Be sure to click on the "Change Water" button to maintain healthy water quality and healthy fish.
- If you neglect the well-being of your fish, they can die from overfeeding and/or poor water quality. If you have dead fish in your tank, you have to click on the net to remove them before you can add any replacements.
- In case you accidentally add a fish by mistake, click on the fish to remove it from the tank.
- You can click on the show/hide backgrounds button to choose different backgrounds for your eQuarium. To hide the backgrounds again, either choose a new background, or click the show/hide backgrounds button.
- Click on the name of your eQuarium to save a different name to your eQuarium. Edit the text and click on the "save name" button.
