Bill headed off to work, but he had to go a different route because the highway was closed due to flooding. All the rain we got filled up the pond so that is a good thing. We had a nice day. I got the pond cleaned out, just have to fill it up for summer. I only got the two big goldfish left, will have to put some other fish in there with them. Hello!
it's chilly and breezy here today. had a very busy day and am happy to be home and relaxing now. got a busy weekend too but most of it will be fun. we're having a surprise party for my nephew who just turned 18, so this is gonna be fun, he has no idea hehe. my massage yesterday was fantastic and it really helped my arm. I go back on the 30th and hopefully it will be a lot better after that. I'm tired of the dern thing now! It was nice and sunny, but a cool wind. We went and visited our friend that is moving and Buddy had to steal his big dogs bone. We came home and sat in the garage and chatted. My day was quite busy and rather hectic but pretty good over all. My future DIL cleaned the kitchen! That was super awesome, as dishes are one of my least favorite chores but a daily one nonetheless, ugh! And we had 14, lots of grilled chicken, corn, tater salad and my SIL made her 'famous' cheesecake too, we were all such pigs. And there's lots leftover so I won't have to cook tonight. Well, got a lot to do today, guess I should get ready to do it so I can come home and get some good rest time in. The sun is peeking and so is blue sky, I'm not ready to give up the rains yet though, hopefully more will come as predicted. But while it's not raining, I'll get the dog out for a much needed walk for both of us. Then back to tv and books. Miss my video games! It's raining nicely here, YAY. Little kid b-day parties are so cute, I almost miss them! I've been under orders to stay home, get rest and not do much. It's quite boring but at least things are getting a chance to heal. My dog is feeling much better, but she wanted to start this day at 6am. We had a beautiful day. Me and Jake got out all the lawn furniture and I sat on the deck all afternoon while Jake was off on an adventure with the kids. My darn dog was playing with the kids at the creek and fell in the fast moving water. She was wet and scared when she came home. Managed to get some yard work done on Saturday, and planted a few new plants, then it clouded up, sprinkled a bit, got chilly and today we have the aftermath of a very nice rainstorm early this morning with more to come. I'm enjoying the clouds, the grey, the chill and that I have nothing to do today for a change. My dog is doing LOTS better, and kitties are enjoying playing with her. We need a new betta too. We have none at the moment, and they are such beautiful fish. Jake got a dwarf african frog when we were away, so far doing great in his little tank. Spring has come to CT! Hows the kitty's? We had a huge yard sale here yesterday to raise money for Kitty Angels of CT. We did very well, lots of traffic. Pup did ok at the vet, she was sure happy to get home though. We're to take her back on the 10th for blood work so they can average out her insulin need but for now we'll keep things as they are. She's done with one antibio, and so only a week left on the other insane one, hopefully she'll be all done with infections after this, that will help figure out her insulin need as well. She's a lot happier and friskier now though, and now that her nose is cleared up, she is enjoying sniffing all the sniffable things on our walks. Weather is to be in the 80's for several days, then back to the 70's. I'm not sure I'm ready for a heatwave yet, it's only April! My mom is going fishing most of this weekend, her and some friends are all excited. She's always busy, which is great.
