Thanks for telling me about your Pleco. I guess they all do whatever they want but they all grow big!! Mine in the African Cichlid tank did the same thing and the new one has already grown an inch. The spotted pleco in the Discus tank isn't growing at all. Nor is he working. He has been in there about 3 months. The store said he is not very efficient just pretty and they are right. Moved some fish around today and it seems like they are doing ok. Need to post pix of the rest of the tanks. None have the cute themes that yours does. Oh, don't be surprised if you see a new name on all the tanks, those I have just are too cutsey-yucky. Don't know why I didn't notice your cute avatar before??!! Turtle question
In the corner I have a rock that sticks out of the water with a flat surface for him to bask in a light. The rock is also a waterfall with a filter inside. I also have a couple peices of driftwood for him to climb up and out of the water on. He eats the minnows but ignores the gouramis.Come visit me, Lake Superior, Guppy Planted, Tama River & Stamford Bridge.

Thank you for the kind words!! I named the tanks after Greek mythological rivers. They are all placed in Hades. Go, figure. Believe it or not. It don't take any talent just a good imagination. I try to keep them all as natural as possible. I'm not into the plastic divers and wrecked ships. I enjoy my monthly field days, i'm always rearranging and redoing the setups. So, they never look the same. it gives the fish a chance to restart the dominance affect. Thanks you for dropping by. I appreciate the visit and the compliments. Left a a vote. Thanks for the kind words! Yours is cool - here is a vote. So, is your pleco getting huge? Mine got so big and worked so hard that he made a lot of waste - and REALLY long ones..... Anyway, my favorite aquarium store let me trade him in for a smaller one. the lungfish is actually a doscile creature the problem is their just a bully to its tank mates mine loves algae waffers and hikari canivore pellets he also lets me touch him. i got him to take silver sides from my hand though he does have about 400 pounds of bite in his grinder plates. and yes he has nailed my hand and nearly broke my pinky. hes at full size of 26 inches and mouth the size of a ball pythons mouth and does love to just come to the surface for air so as long as you leave 3 inches of space from the surface to the lid theyll thrive and jump in size quick if you feed them a wide variety of food. other then that he just burrows and sits in the shade when the lights are on and goes on massive explore territory and bite every thing not moveing like your filter and heater when new to the tank. he killed a foam airstone so now i us a under gravel filter and he doesnt bother it. My New Aquarium
Thanks everybody for your nice comments. To set some minds at ease, I do plan to upgrade my tank. I know that this is cramped for 4 Oscars and a Pleco. I am looking for an affordable larger tank right now. I just thought I would make it pretty in the meantime. I would like to make this one into a saltwater after I move my oscars.
