Hi, Dawg Thank you, everyone, for your understanding and patience. You are about to see me at it again! Medically I got bad news in several areas so will have some treatment and possibly surgeries. I am still realllly tired and lose focus, I guess because of the pain, meds, exhaustion and no appetite; have lost a ton of weight (like that part!!) but - moving ahead!! Yes, did manage to keep up with the tanks, with help from my store guys, so they are all looking good. Yep, killed off the equarium fish a number of times, pooh. I may not be on every day but I WILL respond to your blogs. As you can see, I am writing everyone from the Discus tank as it is easier. Will post new pix of the revamped Kitchen tank which has 3 little Discus along with Cardinals in it now and is beautiful!! Leaving votes for each! Thanks again, KerryCome visit me, Kerry's African Cichlid Tank, Kerry's Angel/Discus Community - Revised!!, Kerry's Betta Homes, Kerry's DISCUS Tank, Kerry's #1 Reef Tank & Kerry's Juvenile (for now) Discus.

Hi, Dawg Thanks for your reply to the neon colored danios. At first I was told that the fish were genetically altered using squid ink. Then someone I read in Marine & Freshwater Aquarium that the fish were injected with dye. It doesn't matter to me, really. I think they would be so cool in a childs room or in a all black aquarium setup with lights that would really make them glo! And, they look really good in your tank with the bright caves you have in there. Cool! Talk to you soon! ~vote4u~Come visit me, Guppy Tank & NW Fish Rescue.

Hey Thanks for the comment It's not a salamander, it's axolotl, well technically you could classify it as a salamander, seeing as axolotls are the larvae stage of a salamander, but axolotls are permanently aquatic creatures :P This is not my axolotl through because I liv at a boarding house and I don't have camera but I'll be uploading some photo's soon of my two axolotls soon:) Thanks again for the comment :DCome visit me, That Axolotl Place & That Tropical Fish Place.

hi Dawg I never thought about withholding food to help keep the tanks clean. I think I would have withdrawal, forget about the fish!!! Well, that is my problem, only clean them every two weeks and that is not enough. In my 14 gal, the Glass Cats and Shrimp also like to hide, in the rocks, like your Kuhli loaches and Shrimp here. Drat, took out a Chinese pagoda and scrubbed it with the glass scrubber and of course, took paint off. So now it is soaking in hot water. Thanks!Come visit me, Kerry's African Cichlid Tank, Kerry's Angel/Discus Community - Revised!!, Kerry's Betta Homes, Kerry's DISCUS Tank, Kerry's #1 Reef Tank & Kerry's Juvenile (for now) Discus.

Hi Dawg Morning! So, how often do you have to scrub the "rainbow thingies"? I am finding that a little brown algae is growing on them and the Panda Garra can't keep up with it. Pictures not posted yet. Oh, got a new Betta and he is in the coolest home -square box with wood trim. I think they are designed to sit on desks. Hope all are doing well. - BettaluvCome visit me, Kerry's African Cichlid Tank, Kerry's Angel/Discus Community - Revised!!, Kerry's Betta Homes, Kerry's DISCUS Tank, Kerry's #1 Reef Tank & Kerry's Juvenile (for now) Discus.

Wow Thanks for the explanation. You are a lot braver than I am with the Bettas. It does make sense as you have all the hiding places. I once had a big blue Betta in my 29 gal plant tank but he ate like a pig, just overate then disappeared. I couldn't regulate the amount of food he got since I was feeding everyone. I can regulate if I keep them in the separated tanks. But, certainly agree they add to the beauty of the community tank and I am very impressed that you have been successful, that they haven't killed each other. I cleaned 5 of my tanks today and was going to add some more set-ups here but am pooped! Want to share my f/w community and salts with everyone. Keep enjoying! Hi Dawg Thanks for the compliment. Bettas are so beautiful and so responsive to me! Are yours? Your tank looks great. Do you have more than one male Betta in the same tank? I thought about raising them, got 3 females then read all about it, nope - not going to end up with little bottles all over the house to keep them separate. Have enough to do with all my big tanks smaller, separated Betta tanks.Come visit me, Kerry's African Cichlid Tank, Kerry's Angel/Discus Community - Revised!!, Kerry's Betta Homes, Kerry's DISCUS Tank, Kerry's #1 Reef Tank & Kerry's Juvenile (for now) Discus.

Im sorry I had to comment again. I was reading you're fish list and I noticed you are keeping 2 male bettas in the same tank. I have got to know how you are getting that to work out? And then the 3 female betta's, the males normally still terrorize them to death. I would love to keep more then one male betta. Is it just luck?Come visit me, somethingsfishy african cichlids, somethingsfishy pentegon reef, Somethingsfishy lil saltwater, somethings fishy 72 gal & Somethingsfishy Memorial To Blue Lobster.

Hi there My daughter has a betta in a two gallon vase. I bought it a small spongue filter to help keep the water moving and am looking for a very small heater to warm the water up a little more. Not that it needs much because my daughters room is the warmest in the house. These days we have so many more options than we did 30 years ago when I had my first 10g tank. I don't know if you remember the old tanks, they had metal corners and slate bottoms. Leaked all the time too. Ahhhh... those were the days. I kind of wish I still had one of them.Come visit me, Bob the betta, Salt water nano tank & Fresh water show tank.

Thank you Thank you for stopping by. I like Bettas too. I love the way their little pectoral fins are always in motion. They are beautiful. I feel sorry for Bettas that are in pet stores, looking all droopy in those little cups of water, although I know they cannot be put together. I was amazed at how much Marvin perked-up when we put him in a nice, filtered tank.Come visit me, Marvin, Morpheus & Neo and Trinity.
