Hi My biggest Oscar ( Albino Tiger Oscars) is about the size of my hand not counting its tail I have one slightly small to. I only gave mine feeder fish once and felt guilty for that! I have heard that if you often feed them they will get to where that is all they will eat. Mine eat lots of things. I give them freeze dried shrimp, freeze dried bloodworms, flake food, pellets and cichlid crisps. they seem to like it all. They will jump up and take some food from my fingers. They are very personable fish. I also have a Gold Severum he is very pretty to.

Always nice to hear from you. I would say that a 5 gallon would be to small for a couple shark. But if you were to buy small ones (then you will know they are young) they would probably be ok in the tank for a little while. Adults max out at 5 to 6 inches. They will mate at 3 inches. Sharks are very active in the tank, so they need space to move around in and they also like to hide so they can rest. Talk to you later. Here is a vote.
