Buddha rubs for luck
just checking in and making sure all is well in your worlds! Since you are stuck with smaller tanks, I think you would like to try male paradise fish. They are cheap, very beautiful, and come in an amazing black color as well as the common blue and red, very active, highly aggressive and fun to watch. They were the first fish ever imported and kept in bowls from way back in the beginning of fish keeping and are quite tolerant of extremes-temps in the 50's wont' kill them and are not so picky about perfect water. They are also bubble nest builders and well, I like them as much as Bettas. Just a thought for ya since you have the fish wish bug with the rest of us and there's just never enough room or money!

corys
when you do water changes, have the new water just a little cooler than the original tank water and it induces them to spawn. Usually everything eats the eggs but you can see evidence of them by the shiny or slivery residue, usually even see how many eggs there were on anything flat. I have yet to figure out how to keep them from being lunch as I have seen the corys eat them as well! Not geared to set up a tank for just eggs but I do like seeing that they are happy enough to try to multiply.

You're welcome for the vote and here is another for you. The live rock tank is going along well. I added a couple of pics of the live sand I have put in it since adding the live rock. I am not sure about fish yet. I am going to go with other peoples advice on what is the easiest to care for with this being my first salt water tank. I was thinking of a damsel fish or clown fish. I think the clown fish are in the same family as the damsel. Talk to yah later.

Hi from RickR
The Dragon has actually been doing very good, Its grown about a inch in 2 months and put on weight. It actually looks better then when we got it. My son (the one who didnt research the fish before he bought it) is getting a 55 gal that he is going to make a brakish tank for the goby. I think it is doing so good because our water is more like liquid rock then water. It cracks, not splashes if you hit it with a hammer. Your betta looks good. Here is a vote

dig the Betta
I so wish wallyland was not allowed to sell live fins, they are horrible and that vase with Betta thing, UGH! Howdy and thanks for visiting! My Paradise fish are just cruising along doing fine, their colors are just stunning right after they pig out on bloodworms! I have been thinking of another Betta - they are a fave - but have enough tanks for now since we hope to move to a home of our own in about a year and really don't want to have to tear down another one. It starts out as a small one, next thing I know we have 2/20's, a 40, another 10 and about 4/2.5 gals plus several 1 or 2 gals in the garage right now and would like to eliminate most of the small ones and get the rest set up. Lucky I have a fab bf who allows me my hobby with no issues. I am a cory cat lover as well, peppereds are nice cuz they are fine in unheated tanks, also have an albino pair that spawned again - too bad everyone likes the eggs so much - and a few other varieties that are rescues, several of mine have only 1 or even no eyes but they are healthy and happy in their homes here. Thanks for the visit, will be checking out your other worlds in a bit!

hello friend
yep i have two ponds one is a all year round pond for goldfish and they over winter and due fine and my vacation pond is just seasonal for some tropical fish to go out in the late spring and summer months to put on some size but i have to bring them back in right at fall so they will not die of the coldness here, but cool, a pond is so much fun and will bring much joy in a hobbyist so i truely recommend a pond for everyone, later buddy heres a vote..><}}}">
