PS I am going to be deleting one of my profiles because I combined teg and bros(Really Zip and sons now b/c Zip was picking on my sis's fish) and Male guppie fry. I didn't have a heater for male guppie fry so that tank had a light on 24/7 which meant in a week the tank would be covered in algea and the water was always at 72 degrees. So I will be changing a name and deleting a profile. Soon I will be changing more names and deleting more profiles b/c I will be selling most of my fry. So big changes and stuff so be prepared if you can't figure out who is voting for you. PPS I votedCome visit me, female guppies, Zip & Sons, Duncle & Teg.

Hi Everyone
I put up a pic that shows how i built the hood. the wood is birch with a walnut polyurathane stain. White enamel inside. The light sockets were from Home depot. they are for a metal fixture and would clip in. the clips were screwed on I removed them and modified L brackets with a dremel tool to fit and used the original screws. For a cord I used a heavy 8 foot replacement cord for a power tool. No switch since I plan on adding a timer. The bulbs are 6500K 24 watt 100 wat equilivilant screw in compact floresent. The plants love them. I cant keep up with the trimming. I am no electrical engineer so if you copy this its at your own risk.Come visit me, RiickR.

Hi Everyone
Your not going to recognize the tank with the new pics that I havnt had time to take yet. The plants are going nuts with the new light, The angles have been addopted, got 2 oto cats and some amano shrimp, and the kids changed thier tank to salt water and threw in thier baby guppies and a couple of bumble bees. Everything seems to be going great so far. Ive just been working too much to get the pics up. Maybee this weekend.Come visit me, RiickR.
