Thanks for getting back to me. I should have thought of that - temp I mean. No aggressive feeders but several schooling fish and other small fish other than Bolivian ram. Not all would do well or live as long at 84 so guess I will hold off for now. Right now I keep it at 79-80 which is pushing it a bit with some anyway and I have thought of lowering it some now that I no longer have German Blue ram... Ah the dream of Discus again :)

The fish are doing great and since we amazingly still haven't had a frost they're still pretty active and shamelessly begging for food whenever someone walks by.

You must be very lucky to be able to keep discus. I'd love to but, the water here is very hard and I'd have to spend a small fortune to soften it enough for thier liking. I understand that they are very tough for many reasons, the water conditions, they are very shy and timid, and as big as they can get, they are not very agressive. Am I close? I am late getting my thank you blogs out as my dsl Internet connection was down all day yesterday and I did not get it back until today when I got home from work. Can't live without that connection LOL
Your pictures are wonderful and I just love Discus. I actually started with Discus in the early 80's when a breeder lived in the same block as I did and got me started, Never did have the right tank or place or ...after that so now it is fish under 3 inches excluding my Angelfish:). Maybe someday again - sigh
