nice gourami's
they are such a great colored fin, been thinking about a pair of dwarf blues but not sure how the Amazon puffers would treat them. They are good with all fins they are with now, but not sure if the antennae's would be too tempting for them to pass up. Maybe I should just set up another tank hehe. Only have 3 going now, used to have six. Hmmm, something to think about anyway.

Hi
Thanks for the vote. Here's one back at ya. You can check out more pics of my tank at:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/wetpets/. Delete the hyphen after the word wetpets, there should just be a forward slash. This blog is inserting it for some reason

Just copy & paste this link on your browser and it should take you to my Flickr page. You have a nice tank. Everybody looks healthy and happy.

puffers
I see like me you have an overcrowded tank-all of mine are-I use the UGF in all but also a powerfilter. The bluefin killi is gorgeous! I have 3 pair clown killis that will go in a species tank this weekend cuz I hope to get eggs. Pea puffers are fun, but very nippy and territorial. I have Colomesus Amazons -the full latin name is in my info bar-and they are very sweet, mellow and have only terrorized one fat cory cat for reasons unknown. They have not bothered the killis or anything else is that tank (spazdoglee) but like to be warmer-tank is about 80, and they have been thriving for several weeks. They also change color frequently, sometimes all gold, mostly black and the mottled of both with their fat white bellies. I am crazy about them. My figure 8 is funny cuz he isn't mean so far at all, nothing like what I have researched. Must have an oddball!

Hmmm....
Nice! I like red bellied newts. I see setups on the web now and again and think about having them. They are banned here, all newts, salamanders, frogs and other exotic amphibians are banned in South Africa. You're so lucky to live in the land of the free! Looking forward to the pictures. The Mali uromastyx is a very special reptile with special needs. I haven't seen one in pet stores, but I have seen some at the zoo and on TV and I agree, they look lovely! How are their temperaments compared to monitors or iguanas for example?

Thanks for the visit!
Greetings! Yeah I thought I'd post them just for fun, not really for votes or anything. The Taiwanese and Grey Rat snakes featured are mine. The other two, the first being a puff adder about 1.4m long and a Cape cobra about 1.6m long. The Cobra is so accustomed to having people scrutinise him that he doesn't even spread his neck or get defensive. Outside the tank is another story though, that's when he can take a stance and strike out at its attacker. But they do tame easily after sometime. Still you do so with full on confident movements and lots of luck, they are venomous and you could die in as less as 2-3 hours. Needless to say the Puff Adder is never handled. Sure wish I could own such dangerous snakes, was considering taking up a snake handling course. Perhaps in the future.
Cheers!
