Ram info.
These are dwarf Cichlids, Mikrogeophagus ramirezi. The pair I have are about 2.5 inches and they shouldn't get more than about 3inches long max. I would imagine they would eat any babies that the other fish had.
The Rams can be very dominate in the tank with small fish. The angelfish in the tank know they don't run the tank. Granted the angelfish are juveniles at this point and they will eventually run things as they get bigger.
I wouldn't worry about your plants growing in before adding the Rams. From the pictures of your tank there is plenty of hiding places. Think Krebensis and you have the Ram, only a bit more intolerant of dissolved organic waist, changes in water hardness and they don't dig under stuff. The Rams I bought were bred in tap water and that is what I have them in.

I talked to my aquarium store people and read up on them at these two web sites; zi de_Max_Breeding_Microgeo_ramirezi.html

Come visit me, wolfcat9.
