Type: Glass
Shape: Standard
List of Fish:
4 - Bumble Bee Gobies 1 - Dragon {aka Violet) Goby {Gobioides brousonnetti}
Lighting: florescent that came with tank
Filtration: UGF, Marineland Penguin 150B Power Filter (thanks to all the points I've earned :) and I use a Marineland Visi-Therm Heater 75W set to 82 degrees with a salinity ranging from 1.000-1.005
Invertebrates: several ghost shrimp, 2 Nerite snails, and some MTS.
Other Accessories: Tanks are always changing in my world, so decided to keep track of some past ones on one page. T-Rex was my first winning tank here, and that Betta lived a long time. SpazBees has always been my favorite but it too has changed as fins have passed on. Good Golly Those Mollies is now combined with SpazBees and all fins will be happy when they can go from the 20 gallon to a 55, hopefully later this year.

Hey Spaz Hope you had a Happy Mothers day. Purchased a Blue Ram Cichlid the other day! They had them on sale for $2.50. They had been there for over a month and still looked healthy. So I figured he would do just fine in the planted tank. Love his red eyes and fluorescent blue spots. And I'm also happy that my striped Angelfish has the red eyes also. Hope you have a wonderful day! CyaCome visit me, 65 Gallon, tropicluver & tropical river.

Hello!! Yes, some things with bathing suits are not to be exposed! I hate bikinis. VERY busy lately, Mother's Day will hopefully be a blast. Mom loved her presents. Also went horseback riding yesterday, I volunteer at a summer program for disabled people. Not me, we help disabled people ride horses. :))) It was the volunteer orientation. The horse I love best, and whom he loves me most, had a blast and I got to ride him! He was very careful with me, but he didn't like trotting, 'cause I was trying to post, but it wasn't working. :(((( But, he gave lots of nuzzles and snuggles. :))) It is no longer snowing, but it did rain. FIRST.....and a first misquito bite as well. NOT good for me. I despise them. I hope you have a Happy Mother's Day!!!!!Come visit me, Pacific (In Memory), Tangi Babe( IN MEMORY), Bubble, Indigo (RIP), Zoomer, Duster(In Memory) & Lickety-Split.

So glad to hear that Mo has energy back. That must be a wonderful feeling! So, you got to see an Irish Saluki Wolfhound? That must be quite a sight. Too bad you didn't get a photo. Well, we did the parade and it was a huge success. Both boys were stars but especially Pippin. He thought everyone turned up to see him and when they saw him I think I might have to agree. He was soooo popular. Not only did we win the crowd over but we actually won 1st place overall for our entry! Wow, still can't believe it! So proud of our handsome boys. I've got some great photos and I will share them. Leaving a vote for you!Come visit me, Pond Creature (Rest in peace sweet Tiny girl).

How are you doing? And how is Mo? Poor girl sure has to go through a lot! I hope she's feeling better with all that medicine and TLC you're giving her. I see Bob here all the time. I guess he likes his new place better! Plus I think he prefers his name too. His name was Larry. In fact, his old owners said he never listened to that name but he certainly listened to "Bob!" He and Melian are alright together which is great. She doesn't like any of our other cats. This is the first cat she's accepted. He's so friendly and doesn't run at her or away from her. Just the type to teach her that not all cats are evil. She's healing up well from the dog attack. The bite is all scabbed over and is looking good. She's feeling sick now though because they all got their shots yesterday. Even the horses! In fact, the dogs, horses, and cats were all vaccinated and so we're surrounded by miserable and sore pets. I do hope Mo is feeling better. What a scare! We had a dog with diabetes and had to give her daily shots for years. Unfortunately, diabetes tends to offer other complications later on. I hope you're feeling better too! Leaving a vote for you.Come visit me, Pond Creature (Rest in peace sweet Tiny girl).

P.S I am homeschooled, I do get the summer off. Trying to finish my grade, we took a big trip last year and messed everything up. I love being homeschooled! I hate public school. Hate it. BAD stuff happens. People say you learn more in the halls than you do in the classrooms! But...I think I can finish my grade, also had to finish my earlier grade as well. Vote #4000 I'm getting so tired I almost forgot to come back and finish my blog! At least this way I get extra points for my blog to you! Bob is doing great. We discovered that he belongs to the same owners whose daughter owns the nasty dog. And, he left home because of that dog. He's apparently been gone for weeks. So, now that the dog is banned from this neighbourhood they are trying to get him back. They've come over a few times and brought him back home. But, every time I go out to feed the horses, there he is! He likes it here! And he gets to hunt mice. He's a pretty good hunter. So, you are still planning to come? And you're bringing your 70 year old mother is backup? :) Great idea! hehe I hope Mo feels better soon. I've never had a dog with a cold. I hope it's nothing serious! She seems a sensitive sort for a macho girl. Leaving another vote. And another milestone!Come visit me, Pond Creature (Rest in peace sweet Tiny girl).

Glad to hear that you're slowly healing up. Melian is healing too but not slowly. I am always amazed at how fast she heals. Almost as fast as she runs! Actually, you should check out her latest YouTube video. I think you'll like it. It's called Melian: California Girl. Eddie seems to be all healed up now. So glad about that! Actually he's a bit too frisky. He broke out of his pen yesterday because I took too long to get him lunch. He went over to the neighbours and got his own! Mouse is not doing as well. She was a puppy mill pup and has had some health issues all her life. Now she's 10, not old for a chihuahua, but age is showing itself. Her heart is quite weak which explains why we keep having to up her lasix. I hate it when our pets start getting old. I really do. I'm glad that Loki is making himself so at home. So, he entertained your mom? He sounds like a great boy.Come visit me, Pond Creature (Rest in peace sweet Tiny girl).

rest of my long blog! I have never seen Melian stay around when there was danger. The only difference now was the presence of the small dogs. Melian was protecting her pack. One bite from this dog and they would have been dead. No doubt about it. I am very proud of my brave girl. She showed a valour I didn't know she had and she was injured in the line of duty. Her side has a puncture wound and it's purple with bruising from the full on hit. Both her back legs are sore and have scrapes and bruises. She deserves a Purple Heart! Leaving you a vote.Come visit me, Pond Creature (Rest in peace sweet Tiny girl).

I look at Melian in a new light now. Whenever I'm out working or having fun I never worry about Melian. She's the fastest dog for miles. Not even her own kind can catch her. I think that only a greyhound, and a fit one at that, would even have a chance. And it would have to do it in the first few metres because they don't have the stamina of a saluki. So, when good dogs go bad and threaten my Meli I am secure in the knowledge that she only has to run and she's safe. And that has always been the case. She doesn't stick around when there's danger. It's each dog for herself and off she flees. In the back of my mind I have always wondered if she gives any thought to others who may also be in danger. I guess she figures I can take care of myself. After all, I am the boss. Haven't I made that clear? Anyway, on Wednesday she showed a different side. I was out building a fence for a new pen for Eddie. Melian was with me, as were tiny Kermit and Tuna. Suddenly a vicious dog came charging out at us. He visits our neighbourhood from time to time and he's not nice. Immediately I thought about Kermit and Tuna. I looked and Kermit had already headed home through a small hole in the fence. He was safe. Tuna, who is partially deaf and blind, and though a sweetheart she is also a bit retarded, was standing out in the open. The dog, a sporting breed, came at us full speed and in attack mode. I leapt in front of him to head him off. He turned back and ended up with the fence between him and Melian and Tuna. I rushed back to scoop up Tuna. She paid no heed to me and with her hackles raised she was ready to attack the danger. She's so clueless about these things. She knows that in a dangerous situation someone will make sure she's okay. So, she's fearless! She would walk off a cliff, no questions asked. I grabbed her up and rushed to put her inside our gate. The gate shut, Tuna was now safe. The dog was insane with rage. He kept lunging at the fence and twice he ended up halfway through it in his attempt to bite Melian. Melian didn't run away. She kept pacing back and forth and threatening this mean dog. Suddenly the dog ran back and figured out a way round the unfinished fence. He came charging again and again I leapt in his path. This time he didn't turn back but swerved around me heading towards Melian. He's a good 20lbs heavier than Melian and he was going at a fast clip. I was sure Melian would run away as always but no. She had the little dogs to defend. Instead of running she turned around and faced the oncoming attacker ready to bite. He slammed right into her with his teeth bared and bit her full on the flank, piercing right through the skin and completely bruising her whole side. Still she stood her ground. She turned back to bite him (I sure hope she got a bite in!) and he turned away ready to renew his attack. At this point we managed to get a hold of him and he was dragged back home. I have never seen Melian stay aroundCome visit me, Pond Creature (Rest in peace sweet Tiny girl).

How are you doing? All over these nasty winter illnesses yet? A little doggie told me that it's your birthday! Happy Birthday! I hope you had an amazing day. Or is it month? I know that you like to celebrate all month. I think that's a great idea! And Happy Easter too! How cool to have your birthday the day before Easter. Eddie is a doing tons better now. He's barely coughing anymore and he's full of pep. And appetite. We're still enjoying some nice warm spring weather. We had a short spell of winter again for a few days but spring is back! Give Loki and Mo a kiss from me. And here's a special birthday vote!Come visit me, Pond Creature (Rest in peace sweet Tiny girl).
