Very nice reef. I'm glad you're thinking of upgrading though...that's a very small tank for all those fish (some of them get really large too, like the hippo tang and yellow tang I see in the main pic). I'd look for a tank in the 150+ gallon range if you want to keep them and all the other fish. Come visit me, HaileysPlanted & HaileysCichlids.

Hey all, I appreciate the positive comments.
After a ten year lay-off from the aquarium hobby, I visited Hawaii (Maui & Kauai specifically) and immediately jumped back into it. The tank in the pics was given to me, free, by a friend who experienced an anemone catastrophe. I snatched up the tank, water, live rock and substrata. I slowly began to add a few inverts; snails & shrimp... I've had the tank about 4 months.
Funny thing, though, is my wife. She's never had an aquarium, but has gone totally into obsession mode. While I kick back reading a novel, she'll be researching corals and blennies. She already wants to up-grade to a "much larger" aquarium.
In addition to the 40, I also have a 24g Nano Cube. It's way too small, but makes a nice night light in our bedroom. I've got an orange psuedo-chromis, six line wrasse, lawnmower blenny and some fire-fish in that one. I'm getting ready to move some of them into the 40 and make the 24 a experimental tank for polyps and mushrooms.
I'm hoping to gain some knowledge hanging around here with more experience aquarists.Come visit me, DanboFish, DanbosReefStuff & DanboNano24.
