Can't believe I missed this one
This is one really nice set up. Great aquascaping! I too wish I could go live plants, but time and space won't permit for now. Give me something to look forward to in the future when I finally get bigger tanks. Apt life is not conducive to those of us suffering from Aquarium Fish Disorder, there's just not enough room! Happy Fish
These guys are seeming to be happier in their new home with their new plants than they were before. Here soon they will be getting an upgrade to a 75 gallon due to the death of my Clown Knife, Kaniff (RIP). I want to get my water wisteria established some before I put them in there. Looks good from what I can see! And Silver Dollars certainly will do that though I'd some day like to get a bunch of plants that grow fast enough as to be impossible for them to destroy, which I'm sure the dollars would certainly appreciate as well. Brian, Palatine, IL.

My 55 gallon tank
Finally I think I have my 55 gallon set up more or less how I want it. I may still need to exchange out some fish from the set up, but it is up and running. I had to order a bunch of cheap looking plastic plants for them since I had to move the tank and my Silver dollars ate all the plants (don't ask, it's the ex bf's fault kinda). I dont' really like the look of the cheap plants, but the fish are happy and unstressed so when I have some extra money I will try to add some live plants for them now that the silver dollars have their own tank.Come visit me, My old 125 FW & smockmock.
