New fish!
Just added 3 Parrot cichlids to my tank - yeah :) Unfortunately every time I try and upload a picture of them it says the picture is too big. Will have to try with another camera another day, Bummer.

Come visit me, Dana.

Hi
Glad your snail problem is under control. Mine get out of control every once in a while. I have Marmorkreb crayfish, and they love to eat the snails, so if I get too many, I just take them out of one tank and put them with the crayfish. I think loaches are supposed to eat snails too. Do you do water changes in your tank? That is when I get rid of my duckweed (on the rare occasions that I get it), I just siphon the water from the top of the tank, and siphon the duckweed at the same time. Of course, I left you another vote too.

Hello again
I stopped by to leave another vote. Sorry to hear about your snail infestation. I squish mine, as the fish love to eat them. Left you another vote too.

assassin snails
Good to know, Hope you can get the assasin snails - haven't looked around locally yet. I gave up collecting the little buggers in a net and am just crushing the ones I can reach against the side of the tank. Kinda gross but my guppies and loaches like to eat them.

Hi Dana :)
I responded to your question about Mathew the Third's tank on my page. Not sure if I am to respond directly to you on your page or if you will get the response via mine? I'm new to this page so I hope you get the message! :D
My daughter's tank Bikini Bottom has soooo many unwanted snails in the last week. No idea how they got into her tank. No live plants added and the anemone decoration was washed well prior to placing in tank. I have called around this weekend trying to find an assassin snail and no one has any but I do have one more pet store to try after our Civic Holiday today. What I've been doing is using my net and carefully scraping against the tank and pushing them around until they release from side and I scoop them in the net. I rinse the net in hot water and down the drain they go!
Hopefully will be able to get the assassin snail tomorrow!

Come visit me, Japanese Garden, Serenity, Mathew the Third and friends & Bikini Bottom.

Hello again!
Assassin snails may help keep the populations of 'some' unwanted snails in check and will not harm your plants. I agree, aquarium picture taking not an easy task. I like the picture of your cory in the pipe. Here's another vote for your efforts!
