Hello I think the poor little fish finally called it quits. He seems to have disappeared. He's probably been scavenged. He wasn't having much of an existence so I geuss he's better off in fishy heaven. The sound of the snapping is definately not the pumps. They make a different sound altogether. The snapping is distinct. How's things going with you? Vote.Come visit me, Lizzy Limpet.

Hey Brad I was just checking out a trap at Foster Smith and it's $25 for a small hunk of plastic! I have an enormous bristleworm too so I may have to bite the bullet and get it. The fish is still alive and eating. he just keeps to himself at the top of the tank. How's all your stuff doing? Vote for ya.Come visit me, Lizzy Limpet.

Hi Brad I think one of my fish may have gotten whipped by an elusive pistol shrimp that hitchhicked in. I've never seen it but I've been hearing snapping noises. This poor fish was all stressed and hiding for 2 days and now he hangs at the top of the tank and bumps into things. He dosen't appear physically harmed in any way with no sign of disease. It's very strange. He smells food and makes a motion toward it and usually misses. What can you do for a blind fish? I hope it reverses. Hope all is well with you, take care. Vote.Come visit me, Lizzy Limpet.

Hey Brad Very glad you're back in the game. Thanks for the nice comments on my tank. I have to take new pictures because things have changed since the ones I have. There's also too much glare in the full tank shot. I'm just learning about photographing tanks by trial and error. Mostly error, lol. I'm incredibly fascinated by this hobby. I used to keep fresh water fish and enjoyed it but never had the passion that reefing gives me. Too bad it's so financially draining! Talk to you later, vote for you.Come visit me, Lizzy Limpet.

Hi Brad Thanks for answering. The outlet strips we have have the GFI. I had one scare where they did short out. One of the hoses on the canister filter came off and soaked everything. After a few snap crackle pops everything went out. It was pretty scary. We got everything dried out and eventually working with no loss of life or house damage. I hope you can get everything replaced in your settlement. What a drag that must have been, must have broken your heart. Have you got a tank running yet? Is the one in the pictures recent? Here's a vote to better luck this time.Come visit me, Lizzy Limpet.

Hi Brad Very sorry to read about your loss. How did it catch on fire? Did it get wet? Any advice on how not to have it happen? Now I'm paranoid about it. I have all the money I never had invested in my tank as I'm sure you did too. How horrible. You have lots of great stuff and a nice set up. Heres a vote and wishing you better luck!Come visit me, Lizzy Limpet.

good work! I've wanted to try a mud system but no $$ to get going! Did you buy the mud only and put it in the refugium or do you have a separate mud filter? Did you lose everything in the fire? We have our reef on it's own dedicated circuit but even then I worry about it going up in flames!Come visit me, ramoth41, ramoth's community, ramoth beta, ramoth41 Goby tank & Salt Pond Experiment.
