Nice set-up! Not sure what kind of filter you have in it but if it is an out-of the-tank filter you may have a problem keeping the fry out of it. A sponge or UG filter is better for a breeding project. It is a lovely growout tank, and like Oceanbreeze suggested kind of big just for breeding although it may increase the fry's survival chances. You can prevent the fry from being sucked into the filter by reducing the flow (if adjustable) or adding a small mesh sock to the suction end although the restricted flow may diminish its filtering capability. One good option is to get a smaller (5-10 gal) tank for your breeders and move the gravid female to the 20 gal until she drops the fry. Having lots of hiding spots for the fry is also a plus but adding plants like duckweed, salvinia, azolla, riccia, nyas grass, java moss, etc although great for giving the fry a better survival chance from predation might actually get sucked into the power filter inlet. A great alternative is shade cloth or small hole netting floating in the tank; not aesthetically pleasing but very effective in reducing predation. If you use your set-up as pictured you may still have a few fry survive, but your numbers and enjoyment may increase by taking some of the measures mentioned. Good luck and here's another vote!
