Sorry that I haven't been around lately. Left a vote! But... Pacific died, and now Lickety-Split is with Zoomer. AND..........Indigo! He's a baby betta, and I have NEVER seen so curious and inquistive a fellow! He is so friendly, I can hardly believe it. He is next to my bed, I moved him yeseterday, and he and I were playing peek-a-boo. He loved it! LOL! Have a nice weekend! How are you doing? Well, we lost a few more fish. You said you wondered how they survive our winters. Well, usually they hibernate beneath the ice. Unfortunately our pond started a slow leak and so we had to break up the ice and refill part of it. I think the sudden movement and change in temps was too much for some of the old timers. I'm sad to see them go. The ones that survived are beginning to wake up now that spring is showing her face.

Pacific has dropsy. I'm mediating him, and he seems to be ok for the moment. I have lost one pregnant guppy once before, her name was Finerty. Weird name I know, but I met a really nice girl named that, and this spunky little girl guppy reminded me of her. Hope all is well on your end! It's snowing again here! And I thought we were finally going to have it all melted. Oh well.
The pond is about 18" deep. We got about 5" of ice on it this year. Unfortunately, 3 fish don't look so good. It was so cold for so long.
Sorry your avatar fish died. It happens easily! Glad your real fish are doing great though.

So you had a oscar fish? CooL! I like oscar fish, there's a really big orange one at the local pet store, he's been there for years. He's SO cool! If we had room, I'd take him! Thanks so much for stopping by! No, Bubble autually doesn't blow bubble nests, just when he's happy he will blow one or two bubbles. Or when he's mad, he blows up his gills! Don't worry about thinking Pacific was a betta, he's got such a big tail! I thought it was interesting, is that his tail would split in three sections, grow out, patch up, and two weeks later or so, it would do it again. His tail's kinda split permamently (It doesn't hurt him at all) but once he had a round tail! I have had Zoomer ever since he was not even an inch long. I bought him because he was so little, but it hurt my eyes to look at him, he was SO brightly colored! No kidding! I was afraid that the other fish(we had two guppies then, they have died two years ago pout) would eat him! And Tangi was very small when I got him, very shy little fellow! But before he died( He absolutely HATED hands) just minutes before he was gone, he lay in my hand( I was helping him from the bottom of the filter. He died in his favorite plant(sniff sniff I miss him) Well, have a great day!
