I always try to tell people that bettas can work in certain community setups. There is no need to isolate them, and they prefer to have plenty of space like this :) Live plants help tremendously too, to keep the water cleaner and give them places to rest. I think you are very creative.

The only nutrient that I add is Flourish Excel. And the Bushynose is only about 2.5in long. But they don't get anywhere as big as the plecos that WalMart or PetSmart sells. It's max size is only about 5in. Come visit me, 55gal Goldfish, 29gal Betta & Friends & 10gal Dwarf Puffers.

any plant nutrients being added to your tank?
your selection of plants is great. Are you adding anything to propagate them? It is a very natural environment for your fish. how big is your bushy nose pleco? Hopefully he wont take over your tank.Come visit me, Fry Tank & JohnB's community tank.
