"NO fluorescent"
NO stands for "normal output", so it just means that my lights are standard fluorescents instead of HO (high output), VHO (very high output), etc. These fishkeeping acronyms do get confusing don't they? ;-)Come visit me, HaileysPlanted & HaileysCichlids.

Hi
Nice tank. I noticed that you emphasized NO florescents. I was just wondering why you don't like to use florescents? I have them for my Goldfish because they don't heat the tank up like incandesents and Goldfish like the water to be cool. Thanks.Come visit me, Marvin, Morpheus & Neo and Trinity.

Are they breeding like crazy? Saw your cichlid tank and had to drop by. I really like your layout-very nice aquascaping. Plnts, rocks, and choice of substrate. Should win an award here.

yeah i am the same way if they do or if they dont they will be good, mine bred in my old 30gal in 7.0 ph range and often as well, but i do believe that they were raised in those ph values when they were fry so i would say that is what they were used to in all, cool 8.0 sounds like a good ph for them, i have a good friend that owns his own pet shop and he molds concrete rock formations with holes in the rock made out of lime and crushed coral and it brings up the ph like crazy it has really done wonders for my 55gal african cichlid tank and 10gal brevis tank but my water tends to be on the softer ph side, well be good my friend and heres a vote..><}}}">Come visit me, Pittbull setup.

Multies are definitely something I'd like to try out some time. They're not so easy to find though, for me at least. Julies are also beautiful, especially the chequered julie, stunning! But tropheus may not be a good genus to consider if you want to keep the multis alive for long. Tropheus can be vicious. Otherwise I must say all your tanks are looking spectacular!
