After i changed my tank some i added a power-head 402 on the wall and i forgot that it has a high amount of suction... unforgettably a fish got sucked up and died:(
so i added some mesh to it and intend to get a filter attachment that makes it a secondary filter...going to the pet store tomorrow to get more fish
this has been a bad year for my fish i had Ich attack my tank,fish get eaten,and sucked up...but i hope i can push through:)Come visit me, freshyfish.

i know
Tiger Barbs are one of my favorite fish they look so cool and they have such bright colors. since 4 of my fish died i am going to get 1-2 more of them because they are suppose to live in groups of 3 or more.Come visit me, freshyfish.

Congratulations on SOTW! Nice setup. I used to have tiger barbs. They are a very active fish and lots of fun to watch. They always looked like little piranha at feeding time. LOL Come visit me, 65 Gallon, tropicluver & tropical river.

hello
the big blue fish in my tank is a severum. Severums grow to a maximum size of 12 inches/30 centimetres (a foot long), sometimes even more in the wild but are rarely seen passing that length. The Severum is usually sold as a small fish around 2 inches at your fish shop. This often misleads people into buying these giants to be. They can also grow deep in size (like a discus), so therefore, a large tank is needed....so i am getting a bigger tank :).....and pond i try to add them there but it just puts them all the way under all the comments...so what do i doCome visit me, freshyfish.

When you sign in under your accout there is a "set-up profile" area about middle of page with buttons for edit/delete/.... press edit and add your pics, maximum 8 photos I believe including your main one which at this time is the severum but you can also change under the same "edit" if you wish. Very nice tank, really like the rocks and plants, looks great. Sorry to hear you had a bout with Ich, hopefully everyone is fine now. Try keeping your tanks at around 77 or so degrees, the cooler temps seem to make tropical fish a bit prone to ich, I keep 2 of mine at 78 and my brackish is at 82 and I haven't had ich in years. Also, lots of water changes, every day or every other day, just about 5 gals or so, will also help speed the process. You can also add just a bit of aquarium salt, not too much, about 1/2 the recommended amount on a package or even a bit less, and you don't need to keep adding every water change, maybe once a week. ich relief
the ich that has been in my tank has finally subsided i have 1 fish still with a little bit of it but the more i treat the tank the better they all get...i was hoping i wouldn't have to do what was mentioned in a previous post so it seems my persistence has payed off:)

Ich Problem
My tank somehow was infected with ich this past summer. Since I have neon tetra's the medication soon killed them all. So if you do not get rid of the ich, you may want to do what I finially did. I completed emptined out the tank, washed everything well, let the tank sit empty for a week to air dry, and started over. Haven't had a problem since.Come visit me, Shark Bait & BettaGuy.

found out
i have finally found out why my fish have died another fish became ill and it had all the symptoms of Ich...i have began treating my whole tank to try and get rid of this thing..sadly two fish died.. both the orange ones in my picture above(top left and bottom right)..i hope that this thing will pass soonCome visit me, freshyfish.
