Hi!
When my goldfish in the pond have babies, the babies are almost always born black, but then turn gold over time. I have a few however, that stay black for a much longer time, but eventually they have all turned gold (or white). Maybe Chester is just getting older, and hasn't gotten his full color yet? That is so funny about Chester. The fish I have in my pond came from the feeder fish tank of my local fish store. Once they are full grown, they are quite beautiful. I don't have any that look like Chester though, and I still think he looks very unique. Here's another vote, too.Come visit me, PectorAL.

Chester's Future
Thank you Kyla! I think he is very pretty and through researching I have figured out that chester could be comet and shubunkin cross. Comet's are well suited for outdoor ponds so I will be placing him in my sisters pond they built in their yard. He will have a wonderful home and hopefully a long full life.Come visit me, chester & Mollies.

I got my fish from saving him from a feeder tank as well. His name was sprinkles, and lived for about 5 months. I love Chester's cool, black markings!! Anyways, here's a vote...Kyla, Plano, TX.

Thank you all. Sry I didn't get back earlier. Anyway I think (charlie) is maybe a shubunkin and comet mix. I have been trying to figure it out by researching. But since he is best suited for a pond I will be placing him in the pond my sister built in her yard. Come visit me, chester & Mollies.
