Ich stinks!
Hi! Nice tank! Just happened across your your profile and was curous how your ich treatmenet worked? I had ich in one of my tanks (for the first time ever) and lost several fish. :o( Thankfully the ich is gone now. Even after treatment I added salt to my water change and turned up the heat...just to be safe. I'm now slowly turning the heat back to normal. Fish look great but I'm scared to replace the kuhli's I lost. Anyhow, I started out with a 10 gallon, then sold it and bought a 20 gallon. sold it and bought a 29 gallon. And NOW I have 3 - 29 gallon tanks!!! So beware!! It's addicting!!! Lol!Come visit me, KuhliLover, Shark Tank & Betta.

A bit of help
I'm still a bit new to keeping fish care. If you haven't already done so do a 25-50% water change and you can also check in the forum. I hope this helps.Come visit me, Just Gettin' Started.

Hello, Thanks for the votes.
I have had my tank setup for about 2 weeks now. I got up yesterday morning and noticed little white spots on my Goldfish's fins. I did a google search and learned about Ick. So I went to Pet Smart and got some API Super Ick Cure to treat my tank. The label said the medication would stain my ornaments, so I pulled everything out and poured the medication in. A few hours later I noticed hundreds of white dots floating to the top of the water (I'm guessing that it was the Ick.) So now my tank looks bare and the water is murky. I am kind of concerned about two things. First, how did the Ick get in my tank? I added a Pleco that I got from Pet Smart two days prior. Could the parasites have been on the Pleco? Second, I am worried about the tank running without a filter. The API Super Ick Cure told me to remove my filter during the medication process. Any suggestions?
