Assassin Snails Hi, I feed mine by keeping pond snails going in other tanks to replace those they eat in my 50. I have read however that they will eat frozen blood worms or anything "meaty" as they are carnivorous. In a heavily planted tank like mine I have noticed I don't have the original 15 ember tetras (I count 11)and they are such tiny fish I imagine they have been recycled so to speak. Here is a good link with pictures and info: http://www.aquariacentral. com/forums/showthread.php?192938-Assassin-Snails-. ..-All-you-need-to-know-and-more Give it time to load pictures :) If you have "tons" of snails it can take 4-6 months before you notice you have to look for those pond snails. Hope this helps. Take care - leaving V's KathyCome visit me, Chocolate Delight, Dwarf Rasbora Delight & Angelfish Surprise.

Snails and Rams :) Hi Again, Thank you for the visit and vote for my quest on SOTW! Leaving you votes in return :) Regarding snails you should visit Cichlid Girl http://www.fishchannel.com/blog/ViewBio. aspx?apid=194207 and read our blogs (beginning on the 16th) regarding snails and differing views and what to do about them :) I like them (but only because I found a way to live with them) and Chris hates them LOL And yes German Blue Rams do much better with soft more acidic water and I have naturally soft well water (that isn't always the best but I make it work) and they are considered a bit sensitive due to this. An alternative to the German Blue Ram that is not as sensitive is the Bolivian Ram. My mother has one named Simone in her 20 long and he shares her planted tank with cardinals, otos and shrimp. Not as intensely colored but still pretty and they get a bit larger then the German Blue. If you do ever decide to try German Blue Rams be sure to get a young group of 5 or 6 and let them pair up. Then find a home or return to LFS for trade the others because I found out even in my 50 gal that 2 pair was not restful. Constant pickering and agitation between them from both sides of tank. So lesson learned - only 1 pair to tank. And trying to put 2 together and make them a pair doesn't always work. Take care, KathyCome visit me, Chocolate Delight, Dwarf Rasbora Delight & Angelfish Surprise.

Corys Galore! Hi, I just read your blog on how many eggs and baby corys you have on Who's Nemo? A year or so ago I had 5 peppered corys in my 29 gal and one I came to name "Big Mama" as she was indeed big and egg laden LOL Twice I took up to 25+ babies to the LFS :) I like the picture you have of the Bronze. I hope you come visit as I am bidding for SOTW this week on my Chocolate Delight setup. Have a nice day and here are votes.
