Tank looks awesome! Nice job! Wow! Glad to hear things are settling down for you. Yea, small tanks are a lot more work indeed. I'm still on the hunt for a 150, hopefully sometime in the next year it will happen. All my fishy worlds have settled and are doing nicely, all fish fat and happy and the dragon goby is super cool to watch. He is really loving having a sandy bottom (hehe, makes me grin every time I type that hehe) and sure is good at excavating!Come visit me, SpazSewer, SpazBees, Gobi-Wan Kenobi & K-Spaz.

Thanks for the vote and your compliments, much appreciated. I see you have a Melanochromis, I found the males to be very aggressive and unrelenting in their attacks, especially upon any new fish I got. Otherwise I love what you've done with the rock! Great aqua-scape! As you now they are territorial but none the less you will in all likelihood enjoy keeping them, that they may even breed in there, which would warrant a larger tank. You averted the Crisis.....! My tan k is fine, I just can't keep Cories and Algae eaters alive???? I've rewad articles in the magazine, check my water all the time. The readings never vary more than a point from ideal? I feed the fish a varied diet, I don't know what to do? Anyway, all else is just great! Take care Josh.

Howdy Back!
Thanks for the vote, good thing you figured out what to do when the Bio wheel broke. It could have been a disaster. I killed all of my Discus once ( accidentally of course ) and I was devastated. It took me a LONG LONG time to get over that! I'm glad you saved your tank. What kind of new filter did you get? I'm just curious? I've always used Eheim and they've always been great! Ok ok
I'm sure they are not that bad, but mine were! I tried putting my African cichlids with my Oscar and chocolate cichlid and that did not end well. The Africans were locking the Oscar down in the corner and would not let them come out. The african cichlids were a rescue so I thought I would give it a shot. Oh well, live and learn!Come visit me, Who's Nemo?.

I raised and breed African Cichlids for almost 20 years before i switched to coral reef tanks 7 years ago. I am surprised that your Johanni has not killed every thing in the tank, they can be very aggressive. Here's a vote.Come visit me, Fish Art & Fish Art Frag Tank.

Hi!
I know what it feels like to take a break. I have not be as active on the fish club as usual either, but it is nice to here from someone new to me! Great tank by the way and it sounds like a great start for a nano saltwater tank...if your like me, then you have gave it a thought but just said, "Nah, too hard." One day I had the financial ability and jumped on it! I haven't looked back since! Gotta go, sea ya!Come visit me, Who's Nemo?.

Hardscape Continued!
My substrate is just Brown Gravel with a product called Laterite underneath for fertilizer? All I know is my plants are healthy, strong and, well established! My tank has been set up for about 2 years I think??? Your African Cichlids are Cool! great pics too. Are your plants live or not? Once again...Thanks for your Votes! Take care and, what's your name?

I appreciate your Vote and Gave you one in return. As far as the hadrscape, I got the stones at an Aquarium store in San Francisco. The owner just commented on how beautiful the stones are but, never said what type they are? All I know $160.00 later they were going home with me. Your tanks look dreamy, and are very unique. Those LED lights are awesome, they add a demension to the tanks that is rare. I have three tanks and all of them have a form of these lights. Two of them are LED bubblestones and one is a 2' LED light that I put under the 2' regular bubblestone. Thanks for stoppin' by, here's a V!Come visit me, Who's Nemo?.

No, I haven't found a tankmate for my fish. Could I put the Pictus Catfish in my 10 gallon tank with my Jack Dempsey? In the pet store I go to, the tag for the Pictus catfish says it can go in a 5 gallon tank. So I was thinking that I could put one in my tank. Here's a vote and have a great day!
