Glad to hear you got some rains, feel free to send them this way when you're done with them! Wish it was raining here, but alas, chilly breezes and sun are all we've been getting. At least it isn't hot. Been busy, and enjoying a bit of it, though house work never was my favorite thing. How does the kitchen stay in such a state of 'we live and eat here', jeesh! Do you have any plans for the long weekend? We're going to work around here, need some screen doors and putting in a patch of grass for my dog so she won't have just dirt to lay in. We had a tester patch when we had 2 dogs but the other one was such a pain and would use it for the toilet and so now that he's no longer with us, we can try again. My dog loves to lay on grass and never used the test patch for anything but napping so hopefully she'll continue that. Bubble is miraciously alive, but hanging on a thread! He's a true fighter, he had fungus on his tummy, a ripped anus from a big poop, red sores now, losing his beard fins, and is so skinny. We are continually medicating him and giving him lots of love. He still swims around a bit and blows some bubbles. :)

In my world, 'nice' weather for me is what most folk consider 'bad' weather. We've all been enjoying the rains the past few days, but I see the blue sky trying to come out today. Not ready for it yet! Though, the dog is more than ready for walk so guess I should take advantage of it while I can. Allergies. My family gets them bad too, it's quite frustrating. My bf says I'm almost perfect though as I don't like diamonds, not a huge fan of chocolate and I'm really allergic to roses. I say he just likes that I'm cheap to keep hahaha. That is one tough guppy! I can understand that your son was angry, I was going to give Indigo back to the pet store. But Mom liked him, and Dad did too. It all changed when Indigo, as I was lecturing him on being a bully(fish aren't stupid, my fish LISTEN!!) and he looked sorrowful and blew a bubble, and started being cute. So...I forgave him and kept him. I'm glad you had fun with the guppy! They are a lot of fun!

Thanks for swimming by! Your fish must appreciate you a lot, a lot of people like bright fish, and get them even though their other fish doesn't like them. And then they are disposed of, or given away. I made a mistake by getting Indigo, because he was so pretty and was a baby. He attacked both of my guppies, but Zoomer, being older, was injured. His tail was severed, but it growing back nicely with meds and salt. He is well and happy again! Indigo died however, in a different tank.

Thank you for stopping by! Yes, Indigo was a sad loss, and even though I didn't have him long he has a special part in my life. I love your tank, the plants look great! My mom has a hard time keeping her Java plants alive in Bubble's tank. Mine do great. (Well, mostly LOL)

Glad to hear the recovery is going well, that's great news! We're hopefully going to get some nasty weather this weekend. Unfortunately there'll be the usual high winds, even gusts of up to 100 over the mtn tops! But hopefully we'll get lots of snow, or rain down here at least, and as I have no plans to do much over the weekend, I'm more than ok with the storm coming in. good news that the surgery has helped, what a relief for you both! Not much going on here, typical life stuff, busy, sometimes boring but all of it pretty good over all. My Rottweiler was diagnosed with Hypothyroid a few weeks ago, boy is she doing better on meds, wow. Her and I walk about 2 miles a day, 5-6 days a week. We're slowly working on upping that, I'd like to get up to 3 miles a day soon. Weather is clear and cold, but storms are due to come by Weds. We sure hope so, not sure this area can handle another winter of wildfires. kids, they so want independence, and we try to let them, but it's hard to just watch sometimes! I'm enjoying the cooler weather, I'll be happy now until next summer hehe. Almost done with outside work, another few weeks and then I can get into more art work again. I'm not taking classes for awhile since it turns out if I even get a certificate in anything my daughter won't be eligible for her Pell grants! Crazy! She's 1/2way through her art degree, and I've got nothing but time so no worries. I'm hoping to get back to welding classes this winter though, cuz I need to finish my project, but might have to wait until next Fall. As long as I don't earn the certificate! Well, my tummy is reminding me that I didn't eat breakfast and now it's getting late for lunch. I'm already looking forward to the weekend, have a big bunch coming for Sunday dinner and we'll spend the day doing a movie marathon, always fun. Nice to hear from you! Blessings and positive thoughts for your little one, what a scary thing for a kid. Well, for you too. Hopefully they'll get it figured out quick. Weather is really nice, still way too dry but not very hot and breezes keep the nights really nice. Been busy with kids and pets, grown kids are almost as much work as when they were younger it seems! I'll keep checking in on ya! Look forward to seeing how your tank has evolved! Mine keep changing too but soon I'll get that 125 from my aunt and then things will really change. The dragon goby will move to the 55 and then he'll really be happy. That is one cool fish indeed, everyone enjoys watching his antics, especially when he sees me hehe. I think mom's have a Pavlov's butt thing going that triggers something in the other family members so that when we sit down it causes them to NEED US NOW. Love them, but whew, I'd like to just sit down for like 4 hrs and let the tv watch me uninterrupted hehe. We'll be decorating our tree today when the kids all come home for family dinner. We do this every Sunday. My stepsons' gf even changed her work schedule so they can be here for it. Her and I started watching Dexter and manage to do a few episodes on disc every Sunday as well, we've almost made it through S1 now. Yes, Christmas is sure coming up quick. My son still has one more week of school to go then 2 weeks off. My husband is home now for the holidays and doesn't have to go back til after new years. We got a few of presents for Jake but still need more. We have some snow but not lots. We still have to go look for a tree to put up this weekend, my hubby is just tuning up the snowmachine. Winter has set in, nice and cold. We don't have much snow, maybe a centimeter or less. I your son still in highschool or has he set off for college? My son is only in grade 5 while the rest of my friends kids are in college or finishing highschool. I tell myself at least they will be grannies before me. I figured I've earned a more grand sort of title other than doorman for my pets hehe. It's getting harder with the old dog as you have to let him out or risk a mess. They are very rare, but I only ignored him the one time and paid for it with major gagfest...good thing I love him! I'm having a very quiet week, but wondering why it went so fast, I swear I still feel like it's only Tues, and here it is almost the weekend! Jeesh! I'm going to spend the afternoon doing some art room stuff, tired of doing regular chores. Really tired of laundry and the kitchen. Seems like it never ends and I only do laundry 1 or 2 days a week. Never been a fan of putting it away, I'll wash and dry all day long, but then comes the dreaded part. I don't like unloading the dishwasher either, my kids laugh at me. I'd rather take out trash and clean up after pets than unload dishes and fold clothes! I can see where having that live in maid thing would be quite nice. Perhaps my next life I'll be spoiled rotten rich...Yea right! Dragon goby is loving the sand, and he is just so much fun to watch digging about and making his little 'forts'. Had a nice holiday, and am really enjoying the quiet of this week. It was fun but there was so much going on and even my dogs spent most of Mon in a coma haha. The fish were even tired, I swear! Hope you are fine. We have a little trace of snow on the ground and that is it. A little mild too, can't complain. One of my fantail goldfish lost all of his colour and is now just white. 40 is your lucky # hehe. How goes? I was just writing down your profile name to send you a hello vote this morning as I was cleaning up my pages yesterday and then there you are this morning! It's still in the high 50's during the day here, not bad at all. Nights are nice and chilly though, into the 20's. I sleep so much better now! Been busy with a bit of everything but almost all of it good. Except was ill for a few weeks, cough cough, ugh ugh but am on the mend and enjoying life fully again. I have lots of fun projects and chores to do this weekend so I'm pretty happy about it. Keeping busy keeps me happy, though I do enjoy the quiet times. While I was sick I watched 3 seasons of the newer Doctor Who, I was pretty sci-fi'd out for about a week after that! Fun but whew, that was a bit much hehe. Of course, sometimes the show watched me cuz well, cold meds tend to make life interesting hehe. My son had a nice night trick or treating. He got lots of candy and I didn't get many kids so we have lots of leftovers. Hopefully I can stay away from them. My poor bf took all next week off and we are going to enjoy tree trimming and removal, moving a lilac bush, more yard work, and lots of caulking to be done. WooHoo! He's wondering if he'll need another vacation to recover from this one hehe. I remember as a kid I always wanted to be grown, but now I realize my chores were much easier back then! Yes, that is the new snail, never seen one before either. My son seen it at the store and just had to have it. I was telling him I dread snails in the tank, but he said this one is cool. Dishes are my never ending chore, I weary of that kitchen sometimes. Always seems like the porch, or the garage or a closet or something needs attention. I can see where having enough money to have people do this for me would be ok hehe. Weather is finally cooling down, I am not a fan of summers' heat. If only we could get some decent rains too but I suppose that's me being greedy hehe. Well, guess figuring out breakfast is my next chore, more of that kitchen issue hehe. I found out if I get a certificate or degree before my kids do, they'll lose their status for Pell grants etc, and it's more important they get these things before I do. I plan on finishing up my welding next year though, and decide what else to take for an art degree. Then I can say with total authority 'do you want fries with that' hehe. Actually I'm doing it because I always wanted to and having a bf who thinks living my dreams is important makes life much nicer indeed. Besides, my kids are slated to support me in their old age so it's important they have high paying jobs HAHAHA. Things are peaceful around here again and I'm really happy about it. Turns out I'm built more for comfort than speed HAHA! Well, need to get come chores caught up so guess I'd better quit babbling and start motivating before the heat of the day hits. We had a nice day and Jake and his buddy wanted to go the beach. We bought home a crayfish we found. I got my internet working good again, had to change out the modem. We are having a nice warm week. Hi. I have an Aqua-tech 5-15 power filter, great filter, but it is starting to go out. My pet store sells bigger impellers, but I don't no if that will help, or even fit. I was thinking of getting a penguin BIO-wheel filter, but after reading some reviews online, people said they had problems such as bubbling, and too much noise, I'm second-guessing myself. that's what we call the 'hole' my rottie has dug for herself. She's a funny one indeed. Her and the cat are hilarious, the cat is only about 12lbs and the rottie is about 120 give or take and well, they are so funny together.
