Changed
So...this tank has undergone a lot of changes...unfortunately, not all are good....I've lost 3/4 of my stocking over time...so all that's left is 7 fish[3 tetras, 1 ricefish, 1 danio, 1 B/N pleco & 1 bronze cory]...BUT..I'm gonna get some new ones at some point in time...
The tank's whole look changed too...as the plants died off and got moved to other tanks[they're doing ok, now], I changed the gravel to pool filter sand[which is *AWESOME* and I love it], added driftwood & stones and such...eventually, I'm going to finish adding stuff, get a new light[or change the 2 year old bulbs?] & take a new picture...until then, this page is probably gonna stay the same.. :-/Come visit me, 2.5gal Betta Tank, 55gal Community, 10gal Community, 20gH Nano-Reef, 5.5gal & 20gL Community.

Howdy Kenny!
Thank You Kenny for your thoughts...I did however find out the hard way that Angelfish are a threat to small Tetras. I used to have about 20 Neons in the tank, now they're all gone. I thought they were dying because I couldn't find them? One day I was sitting there watching the tank and lo and behold, my big Angelfish comes out from the back of the tank with a tetra in it's mouth. I was "Shocked"! In all my years of fish keeping , I'd never seen this. Now I know better. No new Neons unless or until He dies? I knew Angelfish are Carnivores but!!!! I never knew they'd eat tankmates? Right now, I have about a dozen black tetras but they're too big to eat I guess? I'll try to post more pics of my tank later to show a better view. My big Angelfih is about 3" tall tip to tip of his fins. Thanks for the tip Kenny, I've learned my lesson LOL!

Stunning Betta or, is it more than one? Love your design on the 29. So miinimalist. ( Taskashi Amano ) a favorite of my design philosophy. Just gorgeous BUT...not the designer on the block LOL! Your 55 is nice as well. I love the creativity here! Leaving a vote.

And it sound like a great project with Wendigo's 10 and the 20 gal! I have 3 projects pending- one is a nano 2 1/2 gal that I want to try the el-natural method using soil and starting with an emersed ground cover. The 2nd is the future 45 gal setup for my Angelfish and sterbai Corys. I already have the empty tank sitting here :) Just deciding on substrate - el-natural or commercial planting medium. I use UGF and powerfilters on all my tanks, so have to have lots of air. It's also why I don't have many live plants, they won't grow with UGF so I use Java moss and ferns that will grow on anything, including the gravel. hehe, I too have an 'oops I'm an ID10T' tank issue, Friday I did about a 2 gal water change on the sewer. Yesterday it was looking a little cloudy after having been crystal clear for over a week and I was wondering hmmm, why is that. Then around 5pm yesterday I was watching some cories play up the back of the tank, then it occured to me my air pump wasn't on! DOH! I bumped the plug in on the strip just enough to have it pop out a bit. So, there is now lots of air bubbles and happy fish and it's clearing back up. Lucky the powerhead was still going strong or I could have caused a disaster, have no idea how long I had the pump off! YIKES! Supernatural, very fun that, I'm not sure which is my fave, but I do like when they are super creepy and not all about Sam whining so much hehe. We don't watch tv really so have to wait for this season to come out on dvd, then we'll do a super marathon and watch them all again, cuz we're geeks like that around here.Come visit me, SpazSewer, SpazBees, Gobi-Wan Kenobi & K-Spaz.

new fish
well, after reading about your current cool water wish list, and since the sewer is a cool water tank anyway, I got the 'fin fever' and went and got 3 very little pepper cories. OMG they are so cute and after acclimating them, we have all spent the past 1/2 hour watching them play and enjoy their new home. By the end of the month, that tank will have about 12 glofish, 3 is not nearly enough and it's my b-day month anyway so everyone knows what to get me hehe. I too have been busy with classes, and life in general. Thankfully it's all good busy stuff, and am looking forward to some down time after the new year.
