hey thanks for stopping by heres a vote for your great setup, yeah we are just learning angels, we have had this female since summer and she is huge. we are having a little trouble with our tank and the water, a work in progress all the sudden, we are trying to work out the kink, but sadly out small angelfish who wasnt growing for some unknown reason died, when we get the water back to normal, we upped our filtration, had to use fungaside and at a point had to add salt, we hate chemicals so this is anoying, but the water looks better and the fungus is dying and the fish are hearty so we are crossing our fingers that we make it out on the other end with these two fish. when things are better we might try to get an adult male, would that be bad, i mean its nearly impossible i know but would it be bad. also if we added a baby we might get another female and they might go after her... we are also considering another species of tetra, we have 10 in another tank so we know we like neons at least. any reccomendations about that?Come visit me, Kuhli Loach/ Tetra Tank & Tropical Community Tank.

My first hobby Like most people I would imagine, my addiction to aquariums started with a small fresh water tank. Which lead to a bigger fresh water tank, which lead to a bigger fresh.....yeah. I now have my 90 gal. fresh water planted display tank. I painted three sides black, added planting substrate, about 90lbs of rock, and some malaysian driftwood. I previously had a 55 gal with some easy to grow plants to get me started. (Jungle Val, Amazon Swords, Crypt, Java Moss, and a couple Moss Balls) We bought all the equipment to set up CO2 injection and purchased a nice lighting system.....then got started with two salt water tanks. The fresh water tank progress went on hold! =) The jungle val, and the swords are filling in nicely, and I'm getting some good moss growth on the driftwood, so the tank looks great just as it is, but I would still like to do more. My goal for the tank is a river bank feel, with the water level a little lower to allow for some above the water line growth and a bit more landscaping. My angels have been with me for over 4 years, and the loaches about 2 1/2. I love my dwarf chiclids (Bolivian Rams) They have added a lot of character to the tank and their colors are amazing! I added the diamond and serpea tetras for movement, but I wish I hadn't. They pick the fins of the angels and the rams. =( Now that they are in I can't get them out. But other than the tips of the fins being nipped off everyone gets along just fine. I see the dwarf pleco every morning, happily munching on the drift wood. He's been with me also for about 4 years. The bamboo shrimp is pretty cool, and I'd like to add a couple more. He sits on one of the rock ledges where the water current pushes all the debris and food right to him, his fan legs spread and eating whatever comes his way. We feed all our tanks a variety of frozen foods. Blood worms, clam, mysis shrimp, a veggie mixture, and glass worms. Enjoy!Come visit me, Rupertswife & Wontgiveup.
