My plecos look similar to yours but mine have a white tip on its tail. My friend who gave them to me calls them vampire plecos, he has more babies in his tanks now and told me he will give me a albino pleco(I'm keeping my fingers crossed). He also told me I need a Korilia 3 and to stop buying Goldfish! My son wants to get a land hermit crab, do you know anything about them, and info would be helpful? plecos
Thank you for your comment on my page. Yes that pleco on my page...I named it Dottie. Well let me tell you. The fancy pleco's are definitely not as hardy at all. I had a a bully female swordtail...that would get REAL mean during feeding. I think she was attracted to Dottie's dots, so she kept harrasing the poor pleco. it got so stressed I found her "passed away" after work the other week. "Dottie" was $30.00. I netted the female swordtail and returned her to the aqua-store. So I now have a $4.00 pleco...and my son named it Shadow. He's doing a great job of non-stop eating. Not shy at all...etc. my only worry is that it won't stop growing. The store said growth max at 8". But I have a feeling it will grow larger than that. He's goona look like a monster! whooo scary.Come visit me, Myra's & Angels with Swords.
